Lone Star Skynyrd

Lone Star Skynyrd is a Dallas, Texas brotherhood of longtime musicians who feel privileged to recreate the timeless Skynyrd songs ingrained in the American consciousness. We play these songs because fans still play these songs. From “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Tuesday’s Gone,” “Free Bird;” and everything in between, these astounding classics always receive a passionate response from every audience everywhere we play.

Our band stays true to the original Skynyrd approach of a trio of exceptional guitarists, a rhythm section that punches like Ali in his prime and forceful vocals that are augmented with sweet female harmonies.

Lone Star Skynyrd counts among its many fans current Lynyrd Skynyrd vocalist Johnny Van Zant and original Skynyrd guitar tech and plane crash survivor Craig Reed who calls Lone Star Skynyrd “Impressive, to say the least.”

Contact us today and book the 2022 Josie Award-winning Tribute Band of the Year, Lone Star Skynyrd. More than a tribute. More than a good-time party. Give your attendees a musical performance they will never forget!

Jomo and the Possum Posse

Best known for the wildly popular viral video series, “Guy On A Buffalo,” Jomo & The Possum Posse have made a name for themselves with their unique blend of cynicism, dead-eyed soul and anti-machismo honky-tonk.

The band is led by Jomo Edwards, who’s award-wining lyrics tend to skate the line between the sardonic and the arcane. In September 2021, Jomo took home first place in Merlefest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest in the General Category.

In 2020, the band was selected “Best of Fest” at FronteraFest for the 3rd year in a row at the long-running Austin Fringe Festival. The band’s original programs highlight their brand of original music and comedy and are shown exclusively at this live theater event.

The band released their third full-length studio album, Take a Number, Satan on November 22nd, 2019 on CD, vinyl and digital. The album has received excellent critical reviews, including an Englishman’s review that described many aspects of the album as “fine.” The band believes “fine” to mean “really good” in British version of the language, but they could be wrong.

The album was featured in 2020 on Jack Ingram’s Texas Music Scene.

In 2017, the band released LIVE AT THE HIGHBALL on Get Off My Lawn Records features 18 tracks and captures the energy of the band’s live shows.

Recorded at The Highball (Alamo Drafthouse) on South Lamar in Austin, the band performed a significant portion of its set synchronized to video projected on a massive screen behind them.

Their second studio album, “Local Motive” was released in 2016 and skews heavily toward roots rock & roll.
