The War and Treaty (8:30 pm)

The Levitt Foundation is thrilled to present The War and Treaty as the headlining artist for the2024 Levitt National Tour. Comprising wife and husband Tanya Trotter and Michael Trotter Jr. the critically acclaimed duo has emerged as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music. Hailing from Nashville, their signature sound melds blues, gospel, soul, bluegrass, and country for a lionhearted sonic blend, both roaring with passion and tender to the touch. Since 2014, the pairing has dazzled audiences in the U.S. and internationally on stages in Europe and Australia, earning recognition by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and Folk Alliance International, along with two recent GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots song (for their 2023 song “Blank Page”). With a name that pays homage to the dichotomy between hard times and healing—partially inspired by army veteran Michael Trotter, Jr.’s tour of duty in Iraq—The War and Treaty crafts warmhearted roots music that shares narratives of love, loss, commitment, and conflict. From collaborating in the studio with country stars like Zach Bryan, Wilder Woods, and Brothers Osborne to opening for living legends and celebrated artists like Al Green, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, John Legend, and Van Morrison, The War and Treaty has captivated audiences across the globe.

Jordan Nix (7:30 pm)

Jordan Nix developed a love for meaningful words as a child in Buffalo, Texas. Coming from a family full of gospel musicians, performers, and songwriters, it’s no wonder he found his way to the stage as well. His songs take many forms from acoustic renditions to those reminiscent of the late 80s but you can always tell when you’ve stumbled upon a Jordan Nix tune. Hi signature way of playing guitar and the enduring hopefulness in even his most heartbreaking lyrics are woven through every project he puts out. Jordan naturally draws audience into his lives performances through a powerful combination of gospel soul and irreplaceable life experiences, both of which come through in his voice and stage presence.
