Solido

Solido is a charting, award-winning norteño group from Rio Grande City, Texas. Comprised of two brothers (Ben de Leon, Chikis Garza) and family friend Rolando Benavidez 2nd Vocals Percussion Fernando Trevino, bass; Zack Castillo accordion, Ray Johnson BajoSexto. They Formed in 1999 during the aftermath of a tragedy: An accident in which Ben’s house burned down, he moved back home with his family, his brothers, whom he had made music with throughout his life, inquired about starting a band since they all shared mutual influences,Ramon Ayala,Juan Gabriel, and George Strait. Playing together for only a short time at parties and in talent competitions, they were signed by Freddie Records. They won a American Grammy in 2002 for their debut album, Nadie Como Tu, followed by a Latin Grammy nomination in 2003 for Vuelve, Nuestro Amor,and Brought home another Grammy with the 2016 Sentimientos album. Widely known for their romantic take on the norteño style, Solido has a unique touch that makes them easily distinguishable among the many groups that perform in this popular regional Mexican style. Despite the early award, their later recordings have charted higher and consistently. Starting with 2009’s Que Importa, they have landed on the Top Latin Billboard Albums Chart 6 times. 2013’s Inolvidable and 2016’s Sentimientos both landed well within the Top 10, and four other albums have landed on the Mexican Regional albums charts, including the 2016 recording that reached the top spot.

Sabor Puro

Sabor Puro is a Dallas-based cumbia band whose name translates to “Pure Flavor.”

Steeped in expressive energy, this band does not disappoint in the flavor department. Lead singer Sylvia Garcia spends the whole set belting songs and dancing with the crowd — all without losing a beat while in heels.

Her style and grace gives big Selena vibes, showering the audience with positive loving smiles and twirling guests in dance. She might even start a dance circle right in the middle of the dance floor.

The band is power-packed with 3 horns (saxophone, trumpet and trombone), 2 percussionists, guitar and bass, bringing a full party to your ears.
