Lyrical country music from a West Texas poet

Singer/songwriter Radney Foster has long been revered in the music community as a lyricist and a dry West Texas poet. His songs have been covered by everyone from Hootie and the Blowfish and the Pistoleros to the Dixie Chicks and Guy Clark. Radney’s first two CDs yielded a handful of hits and a reputation as one of Nashville’s best kept secrets. He has the ability to craft story songs with both grit and grace. His songs, like Nobody Wins and A Fine Line have a lyrical edge and pop sensibilities that often challenge mainstream country conventions. Earlier this year, Radney performed with Charley Pride and Asleep at the Wheel at the Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball in Washington, DC, during President Obama’s inaugural festivities.
