Smooth grooves and neo-soul
You may have seen him featured on season 17 of NBC’s The Voice— Austin singer/songwriter and guitarist, Jo James, has a gift for entertaining the crowd. His retro style incorporates elements of blues, neo-soul, R&B and funk. Jo delivers smooth grooves and soulful vocal expressions with a touch of blues guitar. From heavy-hitting stages to intimate heartfelt performances, Jo captivates audiences in a powerful way. Jo has performed at festivals with greats like Leon Russell, Dr. John, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Robert Randolph. He’s also backed Robert Randolph at the NOLA Festival and played guitar for Capital Records pop artist, Fletcher. Jo received the honor award at the 100% Music Songwriting Contest, and was nominated for the Soul of Austin award at the Austin Armadillo Awards.

This concert is free! Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. Parking is free. For directions to the Levitt, please see Directions & Parking.

The Levitt has taken health and safety precautions to help make your visit to the lawn as safe as possible. Antibacterial stations are located by the restrooms and throughout the concert area. A cleaning crew will sanitize the bathrooms before, during and after concerts. Please do not attend concerts if you are not feeling well, have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, or have been exposed to COVID-19.
