Up-and-coming band from Mansfield
A little info about the band name, Lance Davis, a teacher at Mansfield High School was selected to manage the school’s upcoming talent show and wanted more entries. Mr. Davis asked his class if they had any musicians to form a band to compete in the talent show and within a few seconds Dawson raised his hand, “I’m a drummer.“ Brock the lead guitarist said, “I play guitar,” and next, Walker (who had never played bass) chimes in with “I’ll play the bass!” Next, they found Michael, the lead vocalist, who had been chosen as the first chair in choir his Freshman year and was already doing some acoustical sets with guitar and piano. After a few days of trying to figure out a name, they decided to pay respect to Mr. Lance Davis and came up with Lance Battalion! Within a few weeks of daily garage jam sessions and hurdles of becoming synchronized, they found their groove. Three originals and several covers later, these boys are going places in the music industry!
