The Thelma & Louise of Americana music

Highway Sisters consists of Amelia Presley, a distant cousin to Elvis, and KK Bodiford, a distinctive Outlaw-style vocalist who was a finalist on the only season of Nashville Star (which was won by Arlington’s own Melissa Lawson!). The Highway Sisters have performed on national and local television, including Great Day Houston (CBS) and Great Day Fresno (Fox). They have performed at the Grand Ole Opry and have performed with artists such as Stoney Larue, Bri Bagwell, Craig Campbell, Andrew Sevener, Brandon Rhyder and Cory Morrow. They tour North America full time and will release their latest single, “Black Wedding,” this year.  The song speaks about taking one’s skeletons out of the closet, and putting them to rest for good with a funeral for all the things that hold the listener back. Their EP, Smoke & Mirrors, was released in 2018.
