Four country boys who love to rock!
Copper Chief is a central Texas band of four country boys who just love to rock ‘n’ roll. The band draws from every corner of the musical canon while touching on several southern sounds that come together to birth a sonic experience that’s hard to pin down. Copper Chief took two years to form, beginning with a 2013 meeting of musicians at the Steamboat Music Fest in Colorado and ending back in Austin with a few backyard beers and four friends deciding to put their hearts into it and form a band to make soulful, original music. Within a few short weeks, Copper Chief found themselves in a double wide trailer in Stephenville cutting their debut album at Boyd Street Studios (now Melody Mountain Studios). In the studio, the songs took on a life of their own through collaboration and the individual flare of each member, resulting in a roller-coaster of songs. Since the release of Copper Chief, the band has burned a path across Texas and surrounding states to steadily growing crowds. They have shared themselves and their music with countless fans at festivals and sold-out shows and take pride in their high-energy performances. Copper Chief makes the music that flows through them naturally, and they aren’t afraid to carve their own place in the musical landscape.
