Infectious punk/pop fun!
If you were placing bets in the 1990s that a party band from Denton who love to hang out and drink beer while playing songs simply so they could hang out and drink more beer would go on to have a 20-year, Grammy Award-nominated career, you would probably be laughed out of town. Since their beginning in 1994, Bowling For Soup has captured the hearts of music fans in every corner of the globe with their infectious, fun-filled attitude. They’ve survived long after bands of similar genres have fallen by the wayside, and they continue to forge ahead with the release of their crowd-funded album, Lunch. Drunk. Love., and a 20th anniversary greatest hits recording, Songs People Actually Liked, Volume 1, The First 10 Years. Bowling For Soup appears on the Blues Traveler’s album Blow Up the Moon, and co-wrote two songs, Right Here Waiting For You and I Know, Right. Your kids also may recognize them as the singers of “Today is Gonna Be a Great Day,” the theme song of the Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb.
