Innovative artistry from a true Texas original
Bob Schneider has reigned as de facto king of the Austin music scene for a couple of decades now, and while no one stays on top forever, the man shows no signs of decay in quality or creativity. Bob is the city’s genius chameleon, mixing pop, hip-hop, folk and biting humor with essential melodies and brilliant lyrics. His joys and heartbreaks, laid bare in song, help us understand our own. Bob has been a recording artist for 25 years, recording an almost inconceivably diverse and eclectic array of songs and having his work make it onto the soundtracks of seven major motion pictures and one Indie film. He has been named Musician of the Year six times at the Austin Music Awards, and still performs a regular Monday night show at Austin’s Saxon Pub.
Free admission unless it’s stated that a ticket purchase is required. Open lawn seating on lawn chairs and blankets for all free concerts. For free concerts, picnics, snacks and coolers with beverages are allowed, including beer and wine, but no glass containers, please.
Paid-ticket concerts have different rules. If the concert you’re attending required you to buy a ticket, chairs will be provided for you, concessions will be sold (including beer and wine), and no pets will be allowed on the lawn. Please do not bring chairs, coolers, picnics, beverages or pets to a paid-ticket concert.
